Green leader Caroline Lucas wants 'rebalanced' taxes

Green Party leader Caroline Lucas has told Jeremy Paxman that the party wants a "rebalanced tax system" where company directors cannot earn more than ten times the amount their lowest-paid worker does.

She said the party did not have a vegetarian policy although it wanted people to consider the effects eating meat had on the planet.

But Ms Lucas admitted her party manifesto included the aim to have population control addressed.

First broadcast on the Newsnight Special on 1 May, 2010. Watch it again on the BBC iPlayer.
