Google blinks first in battle over newspaper content

The print media have won a crucial concession on how to charge people for reading news on the internet, following Google's decision to set a limit on the number of free news articles their users can read before they have to pay.

Newsnight's Stephen Smith reports on this major development in the on-going grudge match between old-school media mogul, Rupert Murdoch, and the new-age websites that have been delivering other people's news for free.
