US 'has no choice' on climate change

The United States will be investing $3.4bn on research to accelerate the development of technology that could capture coal pollutants, according to the US energy secretary.

Dr Steven Chu admitted the US would have "do something else" if the technology was to fail.

Newsnight's Justin Rowlatt spoke to the Nobel Prize winner about America's climate change ambitions.
