Is the philosophy of Wikipedia now dead?

The online encyclopedia Wikipedia is to change how people contribute to some pages. Revisions to pages about living people and some organisations will in future have to be approved by an editor. It is a radical move for the site, which ostensibly allows anyone to make changes to almost any entry.
