Clarke: Greater fairness needed to win back voters

Former home secretary Charles Clarke talks to Newsnight's Gavin Esler about Prime Minister Gordon Brown's leadership, particularly during the recent MPs' expenses crisis.

Esler begins by asking why Mr Clarke in a recent newspaper article described the prime minister's handling of the crisis as "incompetent" and "unjust".
