On Thursday 2 July Apollo 11 astronaut Buzz Aldrin gave Newsnight his first UK interview marking the 40th anniversary of the first lunar landing.
We asked you to suggest questions for us to ask Dr Aldrin and we received well over 1,000 questions as a result.

We also selected some specific questions to put directly to the legendary moonwalker.
Two questions - whether he and Neil Armstrong would have aborted the mission if Houston had ordered them too in the last seconds of their landing attempt and how he adjusted to daily life when he returned - were broadcast and can be seen in the interview above.
