Former fundamentalist advocates peace in Pakistan

Maajid Nawaz was an Essex teenager when he first became involved with extreme Islamism, joining political organisation Hizb ut-Tahrir, which seeks to establish an Islamic state across the Middle East.

But in 2007 he renounced extremism and now the British government is paying for him to do missionary work to change minds in Pakistan. Tim Whewell had exclusive access to his tour.
