Contaminated blood scandal

A public inquiry has condemned the failings that led to thousands of people being infected with HIV, hepatitis C and vCJD from contaminated blood, given to them in the course of treatment in the National Health Service. The scandal of contaminated blood is the most serious of its kind in the history of the NHS.
