Friday's programme, presented by Gavin Esler, covers the following stories:
Iran

Colin Powell threw himself into the growing diplomatic crisis over Iran's alleged nuclear programme by saying that fresh intelligence showed Iran was "actively working " on a programme enabling its missiles to carry nuclear bombs. Now diplomatic sources in Vienna have disclosed that Iran is continuing with its uranium enrichment programme, that's ahead of the deadline it agreed with the UN to end all such activity.

Britain's new, greener neighbourhoods

What would a Green life really look like? If you wanted to redesign the way you live so you did the least possible damage to the environment, where would you start? Well, those were some of the impulses which propelled a developer in Shropshire to come up with one of the greenest and most neighbourly housing schemes in the country. In the latest in Newsnight's series of films on the Britain we live in now, Ben Geoghegan reports from The Wintles.

Dollar

Stephanie Flanders reports on the continuing decline of the dollar.

Newsnight is broadcast every weekday on BBC Two at 2230 in the UK.
