Swaziland, a tiny land-locked kingdom in southern Africa, has the highest rate of HIV infection in the world.

Over the last few years average life expectancy has almost halved to just 33 - leaving a growing tide of orphans.

Photographer, Gideon Mendel, visited a number of projects in the country being supported by the Global Fund to fight HIV/Aids, TB and Malaria and spoke to some of the thousands of children affected.
