Confusion in Najaf
The Iraqi interim government reported that the Mahdi militia had left the Imam Ali Mosque. But then later reports came from the ground in Najaf saying that the struggle was not yet over. We had the latest on the situation there and we looked at the strategy of the interim Prime Minister Iyad Allawi as he tackles the greatest threat since he took office. Who will emerge the victor from his showdown with Moqtada al-Sadr? And how important is it for his government to be seen to be running operations in Najaf even if the bulk of the fighting is a US led operation?
Pregnancy and Murder
