The economic crisis is not just about money and paying bills. It's about dealing with the psychological pressures of the downturn.

In a Money Box special programme Penny Haslam looks at how we are coping with the credit crunch.

Michael Blastland has spent the last few years on a mission to de-mystify the use of statistics as the co-creator of Radio 4's More or Less Programme and in his book "The Tiger that Isn't".

In a special report for Money Box he looks at how the way we think about the recession affects the economy ... and Penny visits a psychotherapist to find out if her fears about her personal finances are common.

The panel of experts will be:

Steve Hawkes, The Sun

Dr Sheila Keegan, , consumer psychologist

Mike Emmott, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

The programme will be broadcast on Saturday, 22 August at 1204 BST and repeated on Wednesday, 26 August at 1502 BST.
