The new Pensions Secretary Peter Hain
Gordon Brown has chosen Peter Hain as the new Pensions Secretary
Prime Minister Gordon Brown has made some new appointments in the department responsible for pensions.

Peter Hain is the new Secretary of State for Pensions, with Mike O'Brien appointed as Minister for Pension Reform.

The opposition meanwhile have appointed a new shadow pensions minister, Chris Grayling.

What experience do these new faces bring to their jobs, and where does it leave pensions on the political agenda?
