Timeline: Pension investigation

November 2004 - Parliamentary Ombudsman announces she is investigating if four government departments were guilty of maladministration over their role in encouraging people to join company pensions or regulating how they were run.

Four months later...

21 March 2005 - Parliamentary Ombudsman writes to those making the complaint thanking them "for assisting us with this important investigation" and adding "I believe we will complete the investigation... probably in early July 2005"

Four months later...

15 July 2005 - She wrote again to complainants saying "the draft report is now almost finalised. We have received the last submission from the Government... our estimate of publication is now shortly after... 10 October, 2005"

Four months later...

18 November 2005 - She wrote again to those involved. This time she said "I am now drafting my report... It is now clear that I will not be able to publish my report by the end of 2005 as I had previously hoped. I do intend... to publish it before... 30 March 2006"

Four months later...

March 2006 - Report published?
