The Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee will meet on Wednesday to review interest rates, and a rise of 0.25% has been widely predicted.
Should a rise be announced on Thursday it will be the third in seven months.
To discuss where rates are going and what effect it will have on the economy and you, we were joined by Roger Bootle, an economic adviser to business consultants Deloitte, and Doug Godden, Head of Economic Analysis at the Confederation of British Industry.
