Making a complaint
If you would like to make a complaint about a financial product or service, this Money Box guide may help you.

The Financial Services Authority (FSA)

The UK's financial watchdog is responsible for regulating deposit-taking, insurance and investment businesses, while tackling market abuse, promoting public understanding of the financial system and reducing financial crime.

The FSA has a number of factsheets explaining how to complain. It is advisable you read these if you are considering making a complaint.

The factsheets are also available free from the FSA Consumer Helpline: 0845 606 1234.

The Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS)

If the company that sold you your endowment has not dealt with your complaint sufficiently then you can contact the Financial Ombudsman.

The Financial Ombudsman provides a free and independent service for resolving disputes with financial firms.
