Leonid Kozhara, Foreign Policy Advisor to the Ukrainian President, has said that the Orange Revolution was a "failure", that "did not give true democratic reforms".

It has been eight years since protests forced a change of government, but leaders of that revolution have since been jailed, leading the EU to postpone its Association Agreement (a framework to increase political and economic ties between the EU and non-EU countries) with Ukraine indefinitely. International monitors have also expressed concern about recent elections.

Leonid Kozhara also told Tim Franks that the UEFA 2012 event was a success despite a boycott from some European leaders.
