The leader of the breakaway Movement for Democratic Change faction (MDC-M) and Minister of Industry and Trade, Professor Welshman Ncube, tells HARDtalk's Zeinab Badawi that there is no point having presidential elections in Zimbabwe unless the military accepts the verdict of the people.
He says the army needs to agree to this prior to the elections expected in the first half of 2013.
HARDtalk is broadcast on the BBC News Channel on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 00:30 and 04:30 BST and on the BBC World News Channel on Monday to Thursday at 03:30, 08:30, 15:30 and 20:30 GMT.
