In June 2013 the Bank of England governor Mervyn King is stepping down from the role.
Among a few names mentioned as his replacement is that of the Bank of Canada governor and chairman of the Financial Stability Board for the G20 leading economies, Mark Carney.
In an interview with Zeinab Badawi from August 2012 he says he's looking forward to working with the next Bank of England governor but it won't be him.
