Sir Alan Ayckbourn: 'Any fool can be tragic'

The British playwright Sir Alan Ayckbourn tells Sarah Montague that while any fool can be tragic, it takes timing and talent to be a comedian and "it is the same with writing".

A revival of his play Absent Friends has opened in London's West End and a new play - his 76th - premieres this summer.
