Murdoch 'more influence' with Blair and Brown - Prescott

Rupert Murdoch and his newspapers had more power and influence over prime ministers Tony Blair and Gordon Brown than he did himself says the former deputy prime minister Lord Prescott.

Prescott whose phone was hacked by the News of the World said its former editor Rebekah Brooks played Tony Blair and Gordon Brown off against each other by telling one what the other was thinking.
