Winterson: Bankers committed 'crimes against humanity'

Author Jeanette Winterson has spoken about why she believes it is a writer's 'duty' to be engaged in politics.

She told Tim Franks: "I love the fact that we're camping out occupying Wall Street, occupying St Paul's - just saying, this cannot go on."

She also spoke about what the bankers have done in regards to the global economy. "It amazes me that everybody has been able to carry on with business as normal, as though there are not crimes against humanity."
