Daughter's tribute to murdered politician Salmaan Taseer

In January 2011 the liberal Pakistani politician Salmaan Taseer was shot dead by his own bodyguard for speaking out against the misuse of Pakistan´s blasphemy law. The killer was hailed as a hero by some Pakistanis who threw rose petals over him and attended rallies in his support.

Shehrbano Taseer is Salmaan Taseer´s 22-year-old daughter. She spoke to HARDtalk's Stephen Sackur about her father´s legacy and how she intends to continue it by speaking up in favour of the voiceless.
