Floods in Queensland and drought in Western Australia have raised fears that Australia is already suffering the effects of global warming.

Stephen Sackur spoke to Australia's leading environmental campaigner and newly-appointed climate commission chief Tim Flannery, who has been asked to raise national awareness of climate change and what can be done about it.

HARDtalk is on the road in Australia for a three-part series. The third programme looks at climate change and is on BBC World News on Wednesday 13 April 2011 at 0330, 0830, 1530, and 2030 GMT and on Thursday 14 April on BBC News Channel at 0030 BST.
