'Aussie oligarch' Clive Palmer on keeping China booming

Thanks to China's insatiable demand for coal, iron ore and other commodities the Australian economy has avoided the economic woes of the West and continues to grow.

One of the biggest winners of China's investment in Australia is Clive Palmer, the larger-than-life entrepreneur who holds the lease on the Sino Iron mine which promises to be the biggest magnetite iron ore mine in the world.

Mr Palmer tells HARDtalk's Stephen Sackur that his mining alliance with the Chinese has barely begun.

HARDtalk is on the road in Australia for a three-part series. The second programme which looks at the country's extraordinary resources boom is on BBC World News on Monday 11 April 2011 at 0330, 0830, 1530, and 2030 GMT and on Tuesday 12 April on BBC News Channel at 0030 BST.

Follow HARDtalk on Twitter to find out who is coming up on the programme.
