The conflict between Bahrain's ruling Khalifa dynasty and the opposition, which is demanding reform, has intensified. There have been violent clashes and the government has arrested opposition figures and imposed a curfew.
HARDtalk's Stephen Sackur spoke to Jamal Fakhro, vice chairman of Bahrain's Shura Council and in the studio, Saeed Shehabi, leader of a Bahraini opposition group in London.
Mr Shehabi said there is no Shia-Sunni confrontation in Bahrain.
