Former Bee Gee Robin Gibb 'saddened' by pop industry


What does it take to make it in the music industry? In this era of TV talent shows, all-powerful producers and lip synching celebrities it seems like marketing savvy matters more than a musical gift.

Robin Gibb and his brothers Maurice and Barry formed the Bee Gees - one of the most successful pop bands ever. Their soundtrack for the movie Saturday Night Fever defined the disco era.

Stephen Sackur asked Robin Gibb what he thinks of the packaged pop stars of today.
