Kat Banyard is the author of The Equality Illusion and says the world is not moving to a post-feminist era but rather the same issues of economic and social empowerment for women still need to be fought.

She says the sex industry holds women as having "lesser value" than men and rejects the view that we live in a post feminist age.

So is genuine equality a distant dream? Kat Banyard talks to Zeinab Badawi.
