Sister Catherine Cowley

Sister Catherine Cowley

In a HARDtalk interview broadcast on 9 September 2009, Stephen Sackur talks to Sister Catherine Cowley, author and teacher of Christian ethics.

There can't be many people who've worked for an investment bank advising the rich on how to manage their wealth, only to turn their back on all that and become a nun.

Sister Catherine Cowley, did just that.

Now she's warning that the way the financial crisis is being tackled is storing up problems for the future and that it needs an ethical shake-up.

Zeinab Badawi discusses with her whether morals and finance mix.

This interview will be shown on BBC World News at 0330 (except Middle East and South Asia), 0830, 1430, 1830, 2030 and 2230 GMT (except Middle East and South Asia)

HARDtalk is also broadcast on the BBC News channel at 0430 & 2330
