In a HARDtalk interview broadcast on 21st May 2009, Sarah Montague talks to Malalai Joya, a member of the Afghan parliament who is now in hiding.

Malalai Joya has been described as the bravest woman in Afghanistan.

She was suspended from the Afghan Parliament for saying it was worse than a zoo.

She has accused her fellow MPs of being corrupt, greedy, murdering warlords.

Now, living in hiding, she continues to fight for women's rights.

She tells Sarah Montague that life is hell for women in Afghanistan, as bad now as it was under the Taliban.
