The world's richest economies are in big trouble. In the past twelve months job losses have increased and company profits and the money markets have fallen.

Political and corporate leaders are struggling to find a coherent response and the outlook is increasingly grim. Sir Martin Sorrell is the boss of one of the world's biggest advertising and communications companies.

Stephen Sackur asks him if this big beast of global business can survive in a hostile economic climate?
