Bishop Martyn Minns
|
In a HARDtalk interview shown on 9th June 2008, Stephen Sackur talks to Bishop Martyn Minns.
Over the next few months, the future of the worldwide Anglican church comes into the spotlight again.
In July, the Archbishop of Canterbury will host the once-a-decade Lambeth conference, but hundreds of conservative bishops, opposed to the leadership's stance on homosexuality, will stay away.
Instead they are holding a rival gathering in Jordan. Bishop Martyn Minns is one of the key conservative rebels.
Stephen Sackur asks him whether Anglicanism is about to tear itself apart?
HARDtalk is broadcast on BBC World News at 03:30 GMT, 08:30 GMT, 14:30 GMT, 20:30 GMT and 22:30 GMT.
Hardtalk can also be seen on BBC News at 04:30 & 23:30.
