In a Hardtalk Extra programme broadcast on Friday 15 June, Gavin Esler talked to Kristin Scott Thomas, one of Britain's most successful actresses.

In an exclusive interview to mark the release of her new film Tell No One, Gavin Esler talks to acclaimed actress Kristin Scott Thomas.

Though regarded as a quintessentially English actress, Scott Thomas has made her home in Paris since her late teens.

She made the move after a teacher at the London drama school she attended told her that she would never make it as an actress.

She went on to star in films like Four Weddings and a Funeral, The English Patient, The Horse Whisperer and Gosford Park.

She talks to Gavin Esler about the advantages of living and working in France.
