Assessing America's strategy to tackle HIV/Aids.

Allan Little talks to the US Global Aids co-ordinator about his government's programme in Africa and the policy of pro-abstinence.

US President George W. Bush is spending US$18 billion around the globe to fight HIV/Aids.

His critics say the policy is driven by evangelical Christian supporters back at home.

They say their pro-abstinence and anti-condom stance is only making matters worse since money is handed out to faith-based groups in the developing world.

Allan Little talks to Ambassador Mark Dybul, the man in charge of the US global Aids program.
