Hardtalk Extra caught up with Scarfe at his London studios
In a Hardtalk Extra programme broadcast on Friday 24th November, Gavin Esler talks to one of Britain's best known cartoonists, Gerald Scarfe.

Gerald Scarfe is a veteran British cartoonist who has depicted all the world leaders down the years, from Harold Wilson and Richard Nixon to Tony Blair and George Bush.

Making the transition from the cult Private Eye magazine to mainstream British broadsheets in the 1960s, he became infamous for his grotesque style.

From his studio in London, he reveals to Gavin Esler his working method, and explains why he is still as angry today as he ever was
