Hardtalk Extra caught up with Michael Frayn at London's Comedy Theatre
|
In a Hardtalk Extra programme broadcast on Friday 13th October, Gavin Esler talks to one of Britain's most critically acclaimed playwrights, Michael Frayn.
Michael Frayn's best known works include farces like
Noises Off and Donkey's Years.
But he's also written more serious, historical pieces like Copenhagen and Democracy.
In a rare television interview, filmed at London's Comedy Theatre, he explains to Gavin Esler why there are really only two types of play, the hit and the flop.
HARDtalk Extra can be seen on BBC World at 0330 GMT, 0830 GMT, 1430 GMT, 1830 GMT, 2330 GMT.
It can also be seen on BBC News 24 at 04:30 and 23:30.
