A crew at work on a bustling Bollywood film set

In a Hardtalk Extra programme broadcast on Friday 25th August, Tom Brook spoke to Indian film director Shyam Benegal about the changing face of Bollywood film.
Shyam Benegal is one of India's most respected film-makers.
In the 1970s he was at the forefront of the so-called "New Wave" of Indian cinema, an art house movement that challenged Bollywood norms with socially conscious films.
He tells Tom Brook why India's surging economy means, slowly but surely, that Asian cinema is entering the Western mainstream, a phenomenon he calls "reverse colonialism".
HARDtalk Extra can be seen on BBC World at 0330 GMT, 0830 GMT, 1430 GMT, 1830 GMT, 2330 GMT.
It can also be seen on BBC News 24 at 04:30 and 23:30.
