Manmohan Shetty
Manmohan Shetty's company has rolled out multiplex cinemas like this one in Mumbai
In a HardTalk Extra interview screened on 25th May, Noel Thompson talked to Manmohan Shetty, one of the business brains behind the Bollywood film industry .

Manmohan Shetty's Adlabs
company is one of a select
few in India that is evolving into a Hollywood-style film studio, not only financing films, but also distributing and exhibiting them in its own multiplex cinemas.

Indeed these new multiplex cinemas are radically changing the way Indians experience film, in the cities at least.

Shetty talks to Noel Thompson about the structural changes currently taking place behind the scenes in Bollywood, and the difficulties of bringing Indian film to new Western audiences.

The world has been forced to sit up and take notice of India's staggering economic output.

But what about this emerging superpower's cultural output?
