Ending world poverty
Is ending global poverty really as easy as Professor Sachs claims?

In a HARDtalk interview on Thursday 14th April, Nick Clarke talks to Professor Jeffrey Sachs.

Professor Jeffrey Sachs is a world renowned economist involved in the United Nations Millennium Project.

In 1993 he was cited in The New York Times Magazine as "probably the most important economist in the world".

He writes very passionately about global poverty and in his new book he argues that the West can make a real difference in alleviating global poverty.

How realistic are his proposals?

HARDtalk can be seen on BBC World at 0330 GMT, 0830 GMT, 1530 GMT, 1830 GMT, 2330 GMT

It can also be seen on BBC News 24 at 0430 and 2330
