Captured in Iraq
Was Guiliana Sgrena the victim of an ambush?

In a HARDtalk interview on Monday 11th April, Zeinab Badawi talks to the Italian journalist, Guiliana Sgrena.

Guiliana Sgrena had been held hostage in Iraq for a month when she was freed by the Italian secret service earlier this year.

But the car in which they were travelling to freedom came under fire from American troops.

The senior intelligence officer who had saved her was killed and Guiliana was seriously wounded.

The incident led to strained relations between the United States and Italy with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi denouncing the attack.

Guiliana Sgrena talks to Zeinab Badawi about the shooting, and explains why she thinks it had all "the mechanics of an ambush."

HARDtalk can be seen on BBC World at 0330 GMT, 0830 GMT, 1530 GMT, 1830 GMT, 2330 GMT

It can also be seen on BBC News 24 at 0430 and 2330
