Gloria Steinem
What is the future direction of the feminist movement?
In a Hardtalk Extra interview broadcast on Thursday 10 March, Mishal Husain talks to acclaimed feminist writer Gloria Steinem.

Some claim its biggest battles have already been won - while others believe the fight's only just beginning.

After the huge social upheavals of the 20th century, what is the future for the feminist movement?

Gloria Steinem is a feminist activist who's been writing about women's rights for more than 40 years, and she says she's far more energised and passionate about women's rights now than she was as a young woman.

She talks to Mishal Husain about inspiring a new generation of women to take up the cause, and how women's rights are being fought for around the world.

HARDtalk Extra can be seen on Fridays on BBC World at 04:30 GMT, 11:30 GMT, 15:30 GMT, 19:30 GMT and 00:30 GMT.

It can also be seen on BBC News 24 at 04:30 and 23:30
