Sutherland says Pride and Prejudice focuses on Jane Austen's women
In a Hardtalk Extra interview broadcast on Friday 16th September, Gavin Esler talks to the actor Donald Sutherland.

Donald Sutherland is one of the hardest-working actors in Hollywood - he's appeared in more than 130 films and has worked with the legendary directors Federico Fellini, Nicolas Roeg, Louis Malle and Robert Altman.

In an honest and wide-ranging interview, he talks to Gavin Esler about his fears about the American political climate, his intimate relationships with film directors and the joy he feels about his new film, Pride and Prejudice.
