During twenty years in power Jerry Rawlings went from being military head of state, to benevolent dictator and finally for the last decade a democratically elected president.

As part of the "Who Runs Your World?" series, HARDtalk speaks to Jerry Rawlings, one of Africa's most colourful and charismatic leaders.

Zeinab Badawi asks him about his time as Ghana's leader, democracy and human rights abuses in Africa.
