Erkki Tuomioja
Is Finland's EU status making it an enemy of Russia?

In a HARDtalk interview on 27th December, Tim Sebastian talks to Finland's Foreign Minister, Erkki Tuomioja.

Russia has criticized Finland for having an anti-Russian attitude. President Putin's special EU envoy Sergei Jastrzhembskin has said that Finland belongs to a group of countries acting against Russia within the European Union.

Finland denies that relations between the neighbours are tense. But if that's true, why does Finland continue to keep a stockpile of landmines?

Erkki Tuomioja is Finland's foreign minister. Tim Sebastian asks him why he isn't more critical of Russia's involvement in the Ukraine and why his country hasn't signed the Ottawa treaty on landmines

HARDtalk can be seen on BBC World at 04:30 GMT,1130 GMT, 1530 GMT, 1930 GMT, 0030 GMT

It can also be seen on BBC News 24 at 04:30 and 23:30
