Hamas influence has grown during the intifada

In an interview for HARDtalk on Tuesday 2nd November, Tim Sebastian talks to Dr Azzam Al-Tamimi Director of the Institute of Islamic Political Thought in London.
On Monday a Palestinian suicide bomber killed at least three people and wounded around thirty in a Tel Aviv market place.
The attack comes amid uncertainty in Israel and the occupied territories over whether the absence of Yasser Arafat will affect the four-year conflict.
The Palestinian leader was taken to Paris last week for medical tests.
Dr Azzam Al-Tamimi is Director of the Institute of Islamic Political Thought in London and a supporter of Hamas.
