Jewish settlements - the obstacle to peace?
In a HARDtalk interview on 21 May, Tim Sebastian talks to Yisrael Medad a Jewish settler, on location in Jerusalem.

Since 1967, the number of Jewish settlers in the Occupied Territories has grown to more than 400,000.

They may be small in number but they still have the power to wreck any peace agreement, and their presence is a serious obstacle to the 'road map to peace' just unveiled.

Yisrael Medad is a spokesman for one of the 145 Jewish settlements that have high-level political support. Tim Sebastian asks him why they are in no mood to compromise for peace.

HARDtalk can be seen on BBC World at 0330gmt, 0830gmt, 1530gmt, 1830gmt and 2330gmt.

It can also be seen on BBC News 24 at 0430 and 2330
