With Gordon Brown heading for 10 Downing Street one of his key schemes, the Private Finance Initiative, is showing signs of strain.

Is more than 100 billion on projects such as schools and hospitals being wisely spent?

In the NHS there is a fear that PFI involvement skews the distribution of resources.

While in Education projects are slow to start.
