Low cost airlines mark new chapter in African aviation


With domestic airfares reaching as high as $500, flying around Africa is out of reach for many ordinary travellers.

But the launch of Fastjet - soon to be followed by Kenya Airways Jambo Jet - could mark the start of a new era in low cost travel in the region - but will it succeed? Fiona Foster reports.
