Can the UN save the London pub?


The traditional London pub is under threat and every week in one closes in the UK's capital. Cheap supermarket beer, wine bars and the economic downturn are all being blamed.

The pub has long been a cultural institution in Britain and a tourist attraction for visitors. David Lewis looks at efforts to stem the decline including a bid to gain a world heritage status from Unesco.
