What compels us to visit sites of mass death?

Most people travel to have fun or to recharge their batteries but what about those people who choose to visit sites of disaster, death and tragedy.

Auschwitz, Chernobyl, Ground Zero - all sites of mass death but now also tourist attractions.

Why do they do it and is it really tourism? Rajan Datar reports.
